0.05% Retinal Cream is an advanced product using retinal in hydroxysomes, for better stability and effectiveness. Dedicated to sensitive, highly vascularised and telangiectasia-prone skin that struggles with acne vulgaris, rosacea or signs of ageing. Formulated for an intensive yet subtle anti-acne action with a simultaneous thickening and tightening action. When comparing its effectiveness, the product competes well with professional dermatological preparations, but without irritating or sensitising the skin. Also recommended when discontinuing prescription retinoids as a maintenance of the therapeutic effects (suggested use for 12 months after finishing treatment with prescription retinoids, both topical and general).

• Retinal in hydroxysomes 0.05% – is a specialised formula that combines retinal (retinaldehyde) with a carrier system. Hydroxysomes are advanced absorption promoters that allow retinal to be efficiently absorbed through the skin and increase its bioavailability by up to 400%. With the use of hydroxysomes, retinal is released in a controlled manner, which promotes a longer-lasting effect on the skin and less loss of the ingredient. Retinaldehyde is a direct precursor to retinoic acid, which provides the same therapeutic benefits as retinoic acid, better than retinol, while eliminating skin irritation. It is ideal for the treatment of sensitive skin with concurrent acne vulgaris, adult acne, rosacea and photo-ageing.
• Bakuchiol 0.4% – Bakuchiol is a natural, plant-based equivalent of retinoids, as well as a substance that increases their bioavailability. Bacuchiol stimulates collagen synthesis, acting on similar pathways as retinoic acid. Research suggests that it can increase the production of type I and III collagen, helping to smooth wrinkles and improve skin texture.
• Tranexamic acid 0.5% – affects the production of cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6), which is involved in inflammatory reactions. The reduction of inflammatory messengers leads to a reduction in symptoms of inflammation and skin irritation, which is very useful when using retinoids.
• Niacinamide 0.5% – its action is based on the regulation of sebum secretion, anti-inflammatory properties, improvement of hydration and stimulation of collagen synthesis. In addition, niacinamide has a brightening effect on hyperpigmentation and protection against oxidative stress, making it an effective ingredient in skin care routines for a variety of skin types and problems.

Skin type: dry, normal, combination, oily, sensitive.

Skin problems: acne vulgaris, adult acne, rosacea, telangiectasias, capillaries, hyperpigmentation, photoageing, wrinkles, product recommended immediately after isotretinoin treatment to maintain its effectiveness.

Daily night application: Apply the cream, avoiding the eye area, to cleansed skin on the face, neck and décolleté, and massage gently to promote deep absorption. Wash hands after application.

Synergistic use: To maximise the effect, always apply a high quality zinc oxide UV filter with a minimum of SPF 30-50 during the day to ensure comprehensive protection and proper metabolism of retinal in the skin.

Recommended frequency: Start by applying 2-3 times a week, then gradually increase the frequency of application. The treatment may cause peeling, irritation or eczema from irritation in the first 2-3 weeks, but this is normal and disappears quickly. If these symptoms occur, increase the interval between applications.
The cream can be used in summer if mineral-based photoprotective preparations are used.
If tolerance has been developed (no peeling or redness), the preparation does not need to be discontinued during professional cosmetology, aesthetic medicine or laser therapy. Treatment with external retinoids (if there are no contraindications) should last continuously: 18-24 months.

Retinal, or retinaldehyde, is an intermediate form of vitamin A that acts on retinoid receptors, but has faster efficacy because it directly converts to retinoic acid. Retinal is often better tolerated by those with sensitive skin. It can cause less irritation, making it a favourable alternative for those who cannot use higher concentrations of retinoic acid or retinol. In a comparative study, the concentrations of retinol and retinal are key to achieving the desired effects. Both ingredients can be used at different concentrations, but retinal may be effective at lower concentrations due to its bioactivity.
